Release the Kraktopus for DK

Gauge: 21 sts in 4 in / 10cm in stockinette stitch (row gauge is not important in this case)

You will need: dk yarn in main color (up to 80 grams for the smallest size, up to 190 grams for the largest size), needles to obtain gauge.

Small amount if dk yarn in contrast color and smaller needles than usually used for that yarn for knitting in the round (for example, if you usually use 4mm needles with that yarn, you will need 3mm needles this time) to make the binding for eyes, and dk or worsted yarn (again, smaller needle size needed) to make the Kraktopus tentacles. The amount of yarn needed for tentacles depends on how much volume you want your tentacles to have (approx. 100-110 grams on average).

This pattern is available only in teen and adult sizes – mostly because having a ski mask with eye openings only and with tentacles would be too distressing for a younger child to have on for prolonged periods of time.
