The rectangle version of the square continuous granny hearts

Materials  1.300 pounds/570 grams of DK/8ply yarn for 7 heart repeats like pictured  (this will work with most yarns and the appropriate hook for the chosen yarn)  4.25 mm hook  Needle for sewing in ends  US Terms used  Chain = Ch  Double crochet =Dc  Slip stitch = Slst  3 double crochet together in the same stitch = dc3tog  5 double crochet together in the same stitch = dc5tog  Gauge is not important for this pattern  Use the recommended hook for the yarn you are using  Notes: you will not turn your work  Chain stitches are always counted  Across refers to across one side  Around refers to around the whole blanket  Stitches in ** are repeated  Stitches in () are the corner stitches and stitch count  Stitches in are repeated the stated amount of times for example 3dc 3 X  Stitches in {} are the heart stitches
