Product Description
Prisma is an oval-shaped shawl with a lace border and a body worked in alternating garter and stocking stitch, short-row sections. Knit in a light (lace or fingering) yarn tihs leaves you with a stunning shawl!
The lace border uses a modified version of the stitch pattern in Vintage Purl's Ladies Jersey. A number of years ago my Mum sent me a link to the ladies jersey which she wanted me to knit for her. The pattern was from the 1940s and was neither easy to follow nor understand! I eventually worked my head around it and loved how the stitch pattern looked. I have since wanted to knit a shawl using this stitch pattern but knew that I would have to rewrite and simplify the pattern. I hope that I have achieved this here.
The lace section is charted and colour-coded for simplicity. The pattern also contains some photo-tutorials to help with this section. The short row sections are written instructions, with concise directions on how to work German Short Rows.
