Picot Snowflakes

These picot snowflakes require only a few skills to make: knitted cast, on, knitting, and binding off. Sew the centre circle together, then use glue or fabric stiffener to form an ornament.

Samples are about 5" and 6" across.

Skills used:

knitted cast on

knitting

k2tog (knit 2 sts together)

binding off

some sewing to assemble

Yarn requirements: 15-20 yards of fingering weight yarn per snowflake

Additional supplies:

sewing/yarn needle appropriate for assembly

glue or fabric stiffener

optional: ring to attach for hanging

optional: seed beads, glitter, or coloured yarn for embellishment post-knitting
