The StoryPhoenix hat came about after my daughter Rachel did a charity collection for the Red Cross Children’s Hospital Burns unit.
The name phoenix was chosen as this is the name the Doctor of the unit uses for her education charity for the kids. In mythology the phoenix is reborn from the ashes. We hope to support these children and families in a small way so that they too can emerge on the other side and survive. We hope that you will enjoy the hat and share the pattern with others. There is a size for the whole family.
