Perforate is a crescent-shaped shawl. Instead of a visible center, the pattern cleverly incorporates increases within the lace itself. The pattern is charted, wrong side rows are purled. Perforate requires 300-650 meters of fingering or sport weight yarn and is easily enlarged by adding repeats.
Purple shawl used 1 skein Malabrigo Sock in Violeta Africana [100% Merino, 440 yd/ 402 m per 100g] on 3.75 mm (US 5) needles. Blocked size is 36 x 125 cm (14 x 49 inches). Gauge is 18 stitches per 10 cm in pattern.
