After months of knitting heavier cables and cardigans, I needed something fresh and crisp that didn’t require constantly checking charts. The classic cuff-down construction is great for beginners looking to add a little texture to their plain socks, and the slip-stitch pattern is easily memorized and serves as a great ‘palate cleanser’ in between larger projects.

While this pattern is written for magic loop, it can easily be adapted for shorter circular needles or DPNs. The size can also be adjusted in multiples of four stitches, so this pattern can really work with any gauge or size!
