Palestinian Kufiya

Palestinian Kufiya is a traditional headdress with black and white pattern.

The patterns on this set symbolize various themes: Olive leaves: Strength, resilience, perseverance. Fishnet: Connection between Palestinian sailors and Mediterranean Bold lines: Trade routes going through Palestine including Silk Road

The pattern is Stranded knitting Fair Isle where black and white yarns are used per round and yarn is carried for a limited number of stitches across back of the work.

You can use any worsted weight yarn that match the gauge.

Its worked bottom up using circular needles.
