Knits well but can split

Beautifully set oft but with plenty of strength too. A lovely chunky scarf was produced so I’m very happy. Good range of colour options so there should be something for most people. It wash really well, ( I hand washed it as there was a hand spun fibre used with it). It behaved well as a hand washed item. Dried flat and looks lovely. I used it as a warp on my loom and it worked well ( as long as you are careful with your tension).

4 balls does a think scarf, I did 21 stitches wide garter stitch. With ball number 5 you can add pockets or a fringe or coasters. Knits up really quick on 10mm needles.

Value for money, lovely soft yarn. Knits well but you have to watch it as it can split.

Good quick delivery good helpful chat bot/automated ordering. The yarn is nice soft with lovely colour. It knits up fairly quick. Wasn't sure about the needle size because the pattern state's to use size 9 needle's but the information on the yarn says to use 10-12, I'm knitting the appropriate yarn according to the pattern instructions, but I think it's going to take several more ball's than what the pattern has stated, but I don't think it's going to make difference to the finished garment. So...

Very poor quality! I have been using Paintbox yarns for years and they are always excellent quality. I cannot however recommend this super chunky yarn. This yarn splits a lot, is inconsistent in diameter and weight and there are several knots throughout the ball's. There's under 100 meters on a ball so this really shouldn't happen so much. It's an absolute nightmare to work with. I bought 35 balls to make a heavy blanket. I can't wait to get it off the hook.
