Owl

Little Owls, only 3” tall, but full of character. This is a quick and easy project and an addictive knit. It's fun to knit more than one! Luckily these odd birds make great party favors or stocking stuffers. A friend of mine knitted seven of these owls and turned them into a nursery mobile.

For an ADVENTUROUS BEGINNER knitter because the construction uses short row shaping (explained in the pattern) and a little bit of knitting in the round on dpns. Parts of the owl are knitted separately and then sewn on.

MATERIALS REQUIRED Approx 30 yds worsted weight yarn in main color; 4 yds worsted weight yarn in yellow; US size 4 (3.5 mm) straight needles; US size 4 (3.5 mm) double pointed needles; Felt for eyes; Tapestry needle; Fiberfill; Thread to sew on eyes
