A modern take on the cloche hat, Opposites Effect is worked from the top down, starting with a disappearing loop cast on. The stacked increases in Tilde Brioche make it easy to keep track of your progress and are a beautiful focal point of the design. Two Colour Brioche and wrap & turn short rows create the high contrast brim.

The pattern contains links to video tutorials. Adventurous brioche knitting beginners will be able to make Opposites Effect.
Yarn: Dusty Dimples Aran 166m (181yrds)/ 100g; 100% SW Merino MC: “That Burn Book” , CC: “Spiced” or yarn of a similar weight to achieve gauge. If you want to use left overs, you will need approx. 125m/ 137yrds of MC and 61m/ 67yrds of CC.
Gauge: 16sts/ 21r in Tilde Brioche, 16sts/ 21r in Two Colour Brioche equal 10x10cm/ 4x4 inches, after blocking.
