Once you started brioche knitting, it becomes so addicting! are so many possibilities to match colors and patterns. Before I start to think about a new pattern, I used to spend a lot of time thinking about colors. Either you use very contrasting colors or two similar light colors, the result is always surprising. So just be brave and give it a try!

This beanie was knit in a two-color brioche stitch pattern, repeating pattern rounds are forming soft waves all over the hat. The cotton sample was knit with a graduated shaded yarn fading from dark to light to produce a subtle gradient effect. I used two skeins in light yellow and hummer, both from the light end.

Pattern is written for three circumference small, medium and large to fit the child and average adult female or to use different DK weight or light worsted weight yarns. When applicable, directions for S/ M, L sizes are written in parentheses as follows: S (M, L ).
