Ollie the elephant

With this very easy pattern, you can make a cute and playful crochet elephant. With basic crochet skills you will be able to make this animal.

Size: 5 inch/ 13 cm sitting when made with Istex Lett Lopi and hook E / 3,5 mm.

A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal. Pictures and illustrations to help getting everything right.

Materials: For this crochet elephant you’ll need worsted weight yarn and an E US/3.5 mm crochet hook. You’ll need two colours of yarn, grey, about half a skein of 100 yard, and not so much of light grey. For the eyes I’ve used 8 mm animal eyes. You will also need fibrefill and pellets for a bit of extra weight in the body (I use Hama beads). A pipe cleaner for the tail and trunk is optional. Lopi colour numbers: 0057 and 0054.
