Nordseeliebe

These fingerless gloves feature horizontal cables (a technique I invented) in the form of stacked hearts. At the same time, the cables remind me of seamen’s knots and the North Sea is for me a place of holidays and happy memories. Therefore, when my friend Waltraud suggested “Nordseeliebe” (North Sea Love) as a name for these mitts, it fit perfectly! The mitts are crocheted using slip sttiches. You can wear them higher or lower; each of the hearts in the cable works as a thumb hole. Special thanks to Ramona for test crocheting, and to Waltraud for the pattern name!
