YARN 1 skein of Kettu Yarns Wooly Sock Sport (75% Superwash Virgin Wool, 25% Biodegradable Nylon; 260m [284yds] per 100g skein (or any other heavy sport weight/DK weight yarn with similar yardage). The sample socks were made in the colorway ”Fog” and they used approx. 161m/176yds of yarn.
NEEDLES 3mm [US 2,5] circular needles long enough for magic looping (or size needed to get gauge).
(NOTE: this pattern has been written for magic looping, but can be knit on short circulars as well. If doing so, I suggest ignoring ”needle 1 & needle 2” and marking the beginning of round and halfway point with stitchmarkers.
GAUGE 24 sts and 36 rounds = 10cm [4”] in stockinette stitch, after blocking, using 3mm [US 2,5] needles.
