Product Description
This is a lovely, quick and easy pattern. It's an easy pattern for a beginner to follow using a combination of stitches to create an interesting pattern.
I used a soft and cosy yarn that was given to me with lots of variations of green and greys in it, but you can use any chunky yarn you like.
It is knitted flat and joined together at the rear, the stitches in this pattern mean that the join is barely noticeable.
Reversible. It knits up quickly so you won’t need to wait long before you can enjoy wearing it or being able to give it as a gift. Great to keep you cosy and warm on a winter’s day.
This pattern is written in full, easy to follow instructions in English, with both British and American terms throughout.

What is Being Made
The Mottled Green Cowl, also known as the Eternal Scarf, is a cozy knitted cowl designed by anrol (Lorna Robson). This is a quick-to-knit accessory perfect for winter wear, measuring 21 cm (8 1/4 inches) in width with a full circumference of 69 cm (27 inches). The cowl is knitted flat and then joined together at the rear, creating a seamless appearance that makes the join barely noticeable.
Craft and Techniques
This is a knitting project classified as beginner-friendly and easy difficulty level. The pattern uses chunky weight yarn, which allows the cowl to knit up quickly without requiring extensive time investment. The design employs a combination of stitches to create visual interest and texture throughout the piece. The flat knitting construction followed by a rear join is an excellent technique for beginners, as it simplifies the construction process while maintaining professional-looking results.
Stitches Used
The pattern incorporates a combination of stitches to develop an interesting stitch pattern. While specific stitch names are not detailed in the pattern overview, the stitch combination creates the characteristic mottled appearance and texture of the finished cowl. The strategic use of multiple stitches contributes to the visual appeal while remaining accessible for beginner knitters.
