The monkey is a little more complicated, with a muzzle and eye patches that are knitted separately and then sewn into place. There are hundreds of types of monkeys, so color options seem endless, but I like monkeys with fur around their face best. Some have fur around their hands as well. Monkeys have tails, but chimpanzees and apes do not.

- Yarn in desired color(s) and weight (~3oz/75g sport weight; ~12oz/350g worsted)
- Dark contrast yarn for eyes and nose • Knitting needles at least 2 sizes smaller than those recommended for the yarn
- Stuffing
- Tapestry needle
- Crochet hook for crochet loop or fringe stitch
