Mighty Maddy's Cheetah Hat

This is the first of many hats I hope to design for the children that Children's Cancer Connection in Des Moines serves. All proceeds for this hat will benefit the Children's Cancer connection (website: http://www.childrenscancerconnection.org/). I designed this hat for a super special gal named Maddy. She was recently diagnosed with cancer and had just started losing her hair. Maddy loves all things cheetah print and requested a Cheetah print hat. I obliged her wish and designed her this hat in her favorite colors of purple and pink.

I used Caron's Simply Soft Party yarn as it was very soft yet had a sparkle to it and seemed to match her personality and smile.

I also added a crocheted flower to give the hat a little something extra for Maddy. This embellishment is optional, but please note that you will need to crochet to make the flower.
