Mettā

Knitting is meditation in motion. Or at least, this is how I see it. More often than not. Just like meditation, knitting trains me and teaches me, in a very direct way, how to cope with the inevitable difficulties of life, big and small. Over the years, they both have given me more resilience, more patience, more balance and strength. I’d like to share this with you. And to bring it one step further with Mettā: unconditional loving-kindness. We all share the same human condition, wherever we come from and wherever we are headed to. In a symbolic way, the Mettā cowl merges different lace patterns, integrating them into a consistent whole, while being respectful of differences; cherishing the diversity and the enrichment it gives us.

Suggestions are given to customize the pattern. Charts and written instructions are provided as well as clear video tutorials for the used stitches.
