Product Description
MESSINA - a becoming jumper in 2ply (fingeing) jumper weight wool in a nice relaxed fit. The pattern is a sloping diagonal rib divided by columns in garter st running straight up mid front and back, mid sleeves and up the sides. Raglan shaped sleeves. Written pattern with charts. Worked flat but it is suitable to work also in rounds.
Required skill level from 1 (basic) to 5 (advanced): 3↑.
The measurements given throughout the pattern are all in cm as well as inches.
Yarn: this design applies to a 2ply (fingering) Jumper weight) Shetland type wool, 25 g = ca. 115 meters.
2ply Jumper Weight Shetland wool from Jamieson and Smith, Lerwick, The Shetland Isles, is a good choice.
Needles: No 2½ mm and 3 mm.
Tension/gauge in pattern: 25 sts using needles no 3 mm = 10 cm (4 in).
