Merlon

The stripes in this shawl twist and turn to form a merlon pattern. It is crocheted in slip stitches. The shawl is based on my technique of long rows: Once the setup row is done, the rest of the shawl is relatively mindless. Lace rows set off the patterning.

Pattern includes written instructions and tutorials for the stitches and for my technique of working in long rows. The stitches used are front loop only slip stitch (F), back loop only slip stitch (B) and inverse back loop only slip stitch (iB).

yarn: 200 g of Hedgehog Fibers Silk Merino Singles

I used the colorway "sin".

hook: 6 mm (US size J)

also needed: 20 stitch markers (or threads in a constrasting color)
