Product Description
Meredith's Hat is a hat I created for my sister-in-law using the colours she likes and some traditional scandinavian star motifs.
Size: One size, to fit a medium adults head of 58 - 60cm/23 - 23.5 inches circumference.
Yarn: 3 colours of 8 ply/DK/light, 50gm balls of merino wool. I often use Debbie Bliss Rialto DK or Katia Merino 100%. Length of yarn is usually between 102 - 103 metres/111 - 114 yards per ball.
Suggested Needles: 3.25mm/US 3 DPNs, OR 3.25mm/US 3 circular needle for casting on & knitting rib. 4mm/US 6 circular needle for hat body. 4mm/US 6 DPNs for shaping the crown.
Techniques: Knitting in the round, knit & purl stitches, decreasing, catching floats, weaving, 3 stranded knitting.
Notions: Stitch marker, tapestry needle.
