Product Description
The cozy Mariela shawl is knitted from the top down, starting with a garter tab cast on. It then grows along the sides as well as right down the middle as well. I tried the cable stitch without cable needle and came to enjoy it. Talking about the cable stitch, before the middle eyelets the cables look different than after the eyelet middle. I happen to like variations in my knits. Why not do something a bit different, right? It’s an enjoyable knit~
The pattern is fully written.
The unblocked size measures 69” in length and 21” in middle height.
Yarn
An aran weight yarn. 436 yards/200 grams needed.
Gauge
14 sts and 17 rows in 4” of stockinette stitch. If you don’t reach gauge with suggested needle size, go either up or down one size.
Techniques applied
Garter tab cast on, yarn overs, slip stitching hold in front-knit next stitch and knit held stitch (no cable needle used).
