The blanket features an all-over diamond pattern created through strategic placement of purl stitches against a knit background, resulting in a textured, visually interesting surface.

Techniques Used

This knitting project employs fundamental knitting techniques suitable for beginners. The blanket begins with a garter stitch border created by knitting across all stitches for the first seven rows, establishing a sturdy, rolled edge. The main body uses a combination of knit and purl stitches worked in rows on straight needles. The diamond motif is achieved through strategic purl placement on right-side rows, with the purl stitches creating raised lines that form diamond shapes across the fabric.
