You will need some worsted yarn in 4 colours.
You can choose to close it with a zip or 5 (5/5/7/7/7) 18 mm / ¾ inch buttons.
Instructions are given both for a girly or a boyish front opening. The pocket, therefore, is either on the right or on the left front.
There is a pattern for a matching hat too : Madrasa hat.
