Leg warmers have come a long way since the 1980s and this stylish knitting pattern for button up leg warmers will add extra flair to your autumn, winter and spring outfits. The optional lace trim offers an urban chic style and can be worn at the top to peek out over your boot tops, or down at the ankle for an alternative look.
The lacy pattern on the leg warmers is quite easy and would be an ideal introductory project to lace knitting. The instructions are fully written out row by row, so there are no complicated charts to follow.
These leg warmers have working button holes, so the written instructions detail exactly when to work the button holes - you will not need any mathematical skills to figure out the positioning!
The yarn used is light worsted (double knitting/8 ply), and the pattern only requires a single 4 oz skein (100g ball) to complete a pair of leg warmers.
The finished leg warmers measure approximately 19 inches (48.5 cm) in length (excluding lace trim) and instructions are included for small, medium and large sizes.
