Layered Bird Wings

This is a relatively simple pattern to follow that creates a small wing embellishment that can be used to personalize another piece of clothing. Following the recommended hook sizes provided will create a wing of around 6cm in width, but can be altered for personal need or preference. There are also many different variants that can be created using different colour combinations, I encourage you to look up photos of real birds to get inspiration.

This pattern uses both decreasing and increasing stitches, which are not explained in great detail within the pattern itself. Increases are explained relatively simply within the pattern, but decreases are not and so if there is any confusion it would be best to look up a video tutorial as to how to do them.
