Knit this gorgeous aviator style hat today. I designed this hat for minimum input and maximum output. It is very quick and easy to knit and looks amazing. Features a long back section for extra warmth around the neck and lined earflaps and front. You need up to 100g worsted weight wool yarn and 50g fluffy texture or boucle yarn. The pattern was accurate and easy to read. Working with the bouclé yarn is challenging. To make earflap linings to match the size of the regular yarn ear flaps… it was necessary to diminish the number of stitches. I really like the finished product. Not sure my first hats were great… but they are improving as I go. The first ones should keep a head warm even if they are not “lookers”. ;-)
