Easy peasy
I think we are about to welcome a generation of 'Covid Baby Boomers'. There has been such an increase in requests for baby blankets, jackets, hats. etc. I was easily able to find what I needed at Lovecrafts. I chose the King Cole Cherished because it has a great range of colours. A lot of young mums veer away from the pastel shades nowadays and so I chose mulberry, laurel and antique gold as I don't know whether boys or girls are expected. It knits up beautifully and I'm confident it will wash...

I bought King Cole Cherished baby double knitting yarn - not for a baby garment but for me- it was to knit up a jumper that I have made twice before and really pleased with. This Cherished yarn [ 100% Anti-Pilling Acrylic ] has knitted up so soft and gorgeous that it is going to be a treat to wear when it gets cooler. The cream colour is beautiful and any yarn I have left over I'm going to knit either a babies top or some booties - no doubt another great-grandchild will appear at some stage!

A soft, pretty yarn that retains its integrity even after unravelling and re knitting or picking up dropped stitches, which is particularly useful to me as I’m given to making mistakes. Thoroughly recommended.
Great choice, speedy delivery
This is absolutely the best double knitting yarn, and I have tried many! You cannot go wrong with any King Cole yarn. I have knitted numerous sweaters in this and they wash and wash without losing colour or shape.

This is a lovely soft double knit, perfect for a baby's delicate skin. It is easy to knit with and the finished article looks and feels good!
Efficiency and choice!
Wool knit up really well. Quite soft (for a baby) so not sure how well it will hold its shape when washed but very pleased with the look of the finished article and recipient was delighted. Pattern was quite challenging but only in that I have never knitted a shawl collar before. The cabling was straightforward enough and at only eight rows, the pattern is easy enough to remember without the constant need to reference.
