Jupiter Wrap Redux

The Jupiter Wrap was inspired by mid-century ceramics which exude confidence, a simplicity of form and a uniquely stylized perspective of nature. Struck by repeated circular forms and perplexed with how they might be manifest in knitting, I've chosen a classic garter stitch rib to create strong vertical movement, and a fat Scandinavian-inspired cable to add a sense of buoyancy along the edge. These two aspects are laid on a bias-knit triangle to create an abstract, shape-shifting wrap, substantial like its ceramic forebears and sharing their color-block boldness and sense of scale.
