Product Description
Jindabyne is a garter stitch crescent shawl featuring a chevron lace stitch pattern. The shawl was created using Alpaca 4 ply, a soft and rustic alpaca fingering yarn, from Adagio Mills.
Yarn Adagio Mills Alpaca 4 ply (100% Alpaca fingering yarn; 175 yards / 160 metres per 50 grams). Shown in Sonata, 3 balls. Or approximately 490 yards / 448 metres of fingering / sock / 4 ply yarn.
Gauge 17 stitches and 34 rows per 4 inches/10 cm in garter stitch (blocked). Gauge is not crucial but a different gauge will alter the finished size, drape and amount of yarn required.
Techniques Used/Skills Required Garter tab cast-on; Increase stitches; Lace knitting; The pattern instructions are fully written out and, for those who prefer to work from charts, a chart for the lace section is also included.
