Izana, a name meaning "invite" in Japanese, is a contemporary oversized sleeveless pullover that transforms traditional silhouette construction into a modern design statement. This knitted garment features a straight, relaxed fit with intentional positive ease ranging from 40 to 58 centimeters (15.75 to 22.75 inches), allowing the extra width to flow into sleeve-like proportions. The design is adorned with a decorative basket weave pattern throughout, creating visual texture and depth across the front and back panels.

Construction Technique

Izana is worked in separate pieces rather than in the round, which allows the garment to hang with improved drape and structure. Finished bust measurements range from 120 centimeters (47.25 inches) in the smallest size to 207.5 centimeters (81.75 inches) in the largest size. Length measurements span from 50 centimeters (19.75 inches) to 58 centimeters (22.75 inches), creating a relatively short, cropped silhouette. The sample photographed is shown in size Small/Medium with finished bust measurement of 142 centimeters (56 inches) and was worn with 57 centimeters (22.5 inches) of positive ease on the model.
