Icelandic Wanderings Scarf

This scarf was inspired by my recent trip to beautiful Iceland. I incorporated the animals I saw there into the fair isle colorwork - puffins, humpback whales, sheep, and seals!

I used Istex Kambgarn for this scarf, but I believe any merino wool yarn of a similar gauge will work well. I have also recreated it with an acrylic yarn and it came out well, so don't feel the need to stick to the same yarn I did! I believe acrylic yarn may be at a higher risk of curling, so just be cautious of that.

Gauge: 28x30 st with size 3 US needles in fair isle pattern. I used 2 skeins of dove gray, and one skein each of black, white, and carrot from Istex Kambgarn.
