Hyacinth the Hedgehog

This sweet cushion is cosy and comforting; the fluffy and soft faux fur yarn is ideal for making a cuddly hedgehog to bring some woodland delight to your home. The decorative flowers can also be made as brooches for jewellery or to decorate other projects; simply sew a safety pin onto the back of the flower to convert to a brooch. The hedgehog’s body is made from two identical side pieces which are sewn together around the outer edges. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the hedgehog is knit on single pointed needles (not in the round). For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish. The hedgehog is 36cm long x 20cm tall.
