Product Description
Goody, goody gumdrops – the polka dots on these cozy mittens are such fun. Go crazy with colour here and knit every row of gumdrops a different color, or be subtle with tone on tone. There is a size for everyone: babies to grandpas. Instructions for both traditional mittens and fingerless gloves are included.
Main colour is worsted weight. Contrasting coloured dots are worked with a double strand of DK weight which may be substituted with worsted weight.
Gauge: 16 sts and 24 rows = 4” (10 cm) over stocking stitch with worsted weight yarn. 4 stitch-pattern repeats (16 sts) and 3 row-pattern repeats (42 rows) = 3 ½ x 4 ¾” (9 x 12 cm) over Gumdrops stitch pattern, worked in-the-round. DK weight yarn (CC) is held double throughout.
**Techniques: **knitting in the round, knitting with double-pointed, or 2 circular needles or magic loop, drop stitch. There is no stranding in this project; you're working with only one colour in a round.
