Grimstad Top

When I got the inspiration for this pattern I envisioned wearing it while walking alongside the ocean in a coastal town. As most of my patterns are, this top is named after a place I want to visit, a town in Norway.

The Grimstad top is a light and breezy t-shirt style knitted top. Worked from the bottom up, with a slight cropped style and v-neck front. Wide sleeves add that extra cozy element to this top.

TECHNIQUES USED:  - Working in the round, working flat, simple decreases (K2TOG, SSK…), German Short Rows, 3 Needle Bind Off, Picking up and knitting sts

MATERIALS  YARN  580 (640, 735, 790, 870) 925, 1035, 1090 yds {530 (585, 672, 722, 796) 846, 946, 997 m}  Yardage may vary if your gauge/yarn is different

Sample uses: Knit One Crochet Too ‘Cozette’ (255 yds/50g - 62% silk, 30% cotton, 8% polyamide) in the color ‘Linen’

NEEDLES  US 4 (3.5mm)circulars 24” (32” for larger sizes) for body, and 16” for sleeves (or DPN’s)  Or size needed to match gauge
