Granny’s Cottage Garden - Inspired by the clusters of pretty blooms in a kaleidoscope of shades swaying in the gentle breeze and basking in the warm sun. This is a collection of granny motifs that represent all the favourite flowers found in an English cottage garden.

No 2. DELPHINIUM OCTAGON

Framed perfectly with a beautiful octagon shape, this pretty flower pairs with a smaller square for a fuller look. Worked in the round with some intermediate techniques. Also includes the ‘filler’ square to join octagons together.

Any DK weight yarn (Or 4ply/sock yarn held double)

Scheepjes Stonewashed used in tutorial

Octagon - 55 yards / Square - 10 yards

Hook

4mm (G), or appropriate hook for your yarn

Gauge

Octagon - 16cm (6.5”) side to side

Square - 6.5cm (2.5”)
