From Way Back

The idea for this garment had been in my head for quite some time until it had matured to perfection. Since its classic shape and sophisticated design details, such as bottom ribbing and button band in sync with the back pattern rhythm and button spacing, also look timeless enough to fit in with any period style, I thought “From Way Back” was just the right name for it!

The cardigan is worked top-down – of course, as usual, seamless – and, despite its intricate looks, not at all complicated to knit. The lace pattern repeat is fully written out and charted at the same time, and raglan increases are charted for the full range of sizes as well.

Materials:

• The Plucky Knitter Plucky Sweater (90% Merino, 10% Nylon): 100g/ 270 yards (247 meters)
• US 4 – 3.5 mm 24” (60 cm) & 40” (100 cm) circular needles or DPNs
• US 6 – 4 mm 24” (60 cm) & 40” (100 cm) circular needles or DPNs
• 4 stitch markers
• Stitch holder or scrap yarn
• 7/8” (23 mm) buttons – 7 pieces

Sizes: XS (S, M, [M1, L], XL, XXL, 3XL)

**Gauge :**20 sts and 27 rows per 4” 10 cm in Stockinette stitch, 18 sts and 27 rows per 4” 10 cm in pattern – both with larger needles after blocking.
