Fox and the Hare Socks

Foxes and hares make a marvelously mismatched pair on these bright Fair Isle socks! Worked in the round from the top down, the socks incorporate short rows into the heel shaping and use simple decreases to shape the toes. Colorful bands of Fair Isle circle the upper sock and instep. A second version of the fox and hare charts are included with only two colors per row, for those who choose to use duplicate stitch to add extra colors after knitting is complete.

This is an intermediate level pattern. Knitters should have experience with stranded knitting technique, long carries, and following color charts. Knitters will also use short rows, basic shaping techniques, and Kitchener Stitch technique.
