Product Description
**About the Design:**I was inspired to make these citrus cozies, because of my own tea-drinking habits. Many tea drinkers put a slice of lemon in their tea, but I prefer orange juice. So, why not make tea cozies to represent these citrus fruit we use in our tea. hence, the lemon, orange, and lime slices, knit a little larger than desired size and then felted.
I used Oasis Aussi Wool (128 yds / 100 gram hank), a chunky-bulky wt. soft wool yarn for the cozies. It felts wonderfully, is reasonably priced, and comes in a wide range of solid colors.
A substitute yarn needs to be a NON-superwash wool, or a wool/alpaca blend, in order to felt. Superwash and synthetics will not felt.
Gauge: 16 sts and 20 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette with size 10 ndls or size to give gauge. To save time, take time to check gauge.
