These socks are sized for small to medium feet with adjustable leg and foot lengths to customize the fit.

Knitting Techniques and Stitches

This intermediate-level knitting project employs several key techniques to create its sophisticated appearance:

• Lace Pattern: The defining feature is an allover fern diamond lace pattern that requires careful attention to yarn overs and decreases. The lace motif transitions smoothly from the leg section to the instep before shifting to stockinette stitch.
• Stockinette Stitch: Used for the foot portion of the sock to provide comfort and durability where lace would be impractical.

Gauge: 7½ stitches equals 1 inch when worked in stockinette stitch. This gauge is essential for achieving proper sizing.

Sizing and Customization

Due to the allover lace pattern's impact on fabric dimensions, sizing is best adjusted by changing needle size and/or yarn thickness rather than adding or subtracting stitches. Leg and foot lengths are adjustable to accommodate individual preferences and measurements.
