The inspiration for the ERICA scarf came from the winter heather, a beautiful plant that bears small, delicate pink flowers from December onwards, whose botanical name is “Erica”.
The ERICA scarf is a small, lightweight triangular shawl in a simple lace pattern. The feminine, simple design makes ERICA a timeless companion, perfect for every day, every season and every outfit.
The shawl is knitted in rows, starting from the tip with increases on both sides. The pattern is a floral lace pattern (7 stitches wide, over 8 rows) that repeats at regular intervals. At the end, the edge is worked in seed stitch. For the seed stitch border on the two shorter sides of the shawl, stitches are picked up along the edges. The shawl can be draped once around the neck with a knot or wrapped twice and worn open.
It is possible to customize the ERICA shawl by using thicker, thinner or fluffier yarns, what would result in a bigger, lighter or warmer shawl.
