Elemental Stockings

The Elemental Stockings are a design I had for a long time in mind. I wanted to make some simple stockings that I could wear with boots. I design them classic and unisex, in plain Stockinette st., so you can knit them with whatever yarn you want. These socks work with self-striped, speckles, solid or variegated color yarn, even with leftovers. The Elemental Stockings are worked from the cuff down or from the top down (both instructions are provided), seamless with afterthought heel.

Sizes

7 ¼ (8 ½, 9)” / (18.5 [21.5, 23] cm) foot circumference.

8 ¼ (9 ¾, 11 ¼) / (21, [25, 28.5] cm) calf circumference.

9 (9 ¾, 10 ¼)” (23 [25, 26] cm) foot length (adjustable to necessity)

Construction Notes:

Adjust the foot length, working more (or few) rounds. This socks has instructions for knitting toe up or cuff down. Choose the one you love the most!

This pattern also includes instructions for an afterthought heel but you can use the heel you love the most!
