This is an EASY pattern! It is just ONE CROCHETED RECTANGLE! There are two simple pleats and a button that attaches via a chain loop, so you don't even have to worry about making a button hole -- a SIMPLE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION that creates a VERY unique DRAPE and look. You won't see another cowl-scarf that looks like this one!
The cowl-scarf consists primarily of double crochet stitches worked in back loops only. The rows with “holes” consist of dc stitches and chain spaces. The row immediately above these rows consists of dc stitches and some back post dc stitches (bpdc).
