Double Dutch

Double Dutch is worked from the top down as a crescent. It starts gently, easing you into the swing of increases that set the pace; after the centre part is completed, the contrasting colour is joined in for the mosaic portion, and finally the shawl is finished with a band of garter stitch, allowing you to catch your breath after a little bit of a challenge.

• Difficulty Intermediate – knit, purl, mosaic knitting, simple decreases and increases, and finishing
• Yarn Ginger Twist, BFL Rock Sock (100% superwash British Blue Faced Leicester wool, 100g / 421 yds / 385 m) in Little Cat Feet; 1 skein. Ginger Twist, Sheepish Sock (80% super wash British Blue Faced Leicester wool, 20% nylon, 100g / 399 yds / 365 m) in Je Suis Prest; 1 skein Substitute with approximately 399 yds / 365 m of 4ply weight yarn in each colour
• Gauge 22 sts and 44 rows = 4 in / 10 cm in Garter stitch
