This doll cocoon knitting pattern is designed to fit most 9-inch (22 cm) dolls, including silicone babies, small reborn dolls and soft toys of a similar size.
The cocoon is worked flat in rows, then the sides are joined to form a soft pouch. Decorative eyelets run across the front and can be left plain or threaded with a handmade cord, satin ribbon or lace. Optional beads may be added to the cord ends.
The finished cocoon measures approximately 21 × 14 cm (8.3 × 5.5 in).
