I purchased several skeins of DMC Satin floss for a needlepoint project that required the seven rainbow colors. Since it is a large canvas, it will be several months before it is finished. LoveCrafts had a better overall selection of colors and more inventory on hand than I could get at home. And the prices were actually much better than the local stores.
DMC satin floss stitches up to have a lovely sheen. Really adds a unique shine to an otherwise plain project if you are looking to spice up something. Use a drop of glue or fray check to keep the thread from getting too unruly. Practice patience and this thread will give you pleasing results.
I've never used the satin range before but end results were stunning! Remember to use short strands like you would metallic as will fray while sewing with it. Excellent value for money with Lovecrafts.
The floss is lovely to work and gives beautiful effect, when not split, which was what happened with these because of poor packaging
The colour and the look after it has been sewn onto the cross stitch material looks great however the string is hard to work with because the strands don't stay together
