Diamond Maze Lap Blanket

The blanket is knitted bottom up in a Mosaic/Slip stitch pattern, using basic stitches, cable pattern and two colours of yarn. At a glance it looks complicated and intricate, but Mosaic knitting involves just two simple techniques- slipping stitches and changing colours between rows. You work with one colour per row, swapping colours every 2 rows. The best thing- there are no floats as in stranded knitting or multiple balls of yarn per row as in intarsia cable technique. To highlight one colour diamonds, I used melange colour shade yarn for contrast effect background.
