Product Description
Here they are, the brother-sister duo from the PBS Kids’ show “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood," now sold as a set! You get both patterns for less than if you’d bought them separately--good deal!
These are my original designs that I created based on the characters from the show. These patterns are purely fan art (flattery in its highest form), and are in no way associated with the TV series.
It helps to have some experience making amigurumi toys to complete them successfully. If you can crochet in continuous rounds using a magic ring and know basic stitches, you shouldn’t have any trouble. They are crocheted in rounds in several pieces, then sewn together. Margaret's pink jacket is removable, so you can dress her up or down. They are great stash busters since they don’t take much yarn!
Daniel Tiger & Baby Margaret Crochet Dolls (Set of 2)
What Is Being Made
This downloadable crochet pattern set includes instructions for creating two stuffed toy characters: Daniel Tiger and Baby Margaret, inspired by the PBS Kids animated series "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood." These are fan art designs created by Amber Romano, original designs developed for her own children. The dolls are intended as handmade toys suitable for children, grandchildren, or new babies.
Craft and Technique Overview
This is an intermediate-level crochet project designed for crafters with some experience in amigurumi (the Japanese technique of crocheting small stuffed toys). The pattern emphasizes that no fancy or complex stitches are required—if you can crochet in the round, you have the fundamental skills needed to complete these dolls successfully. The intermediate classification reflects the need for familiarity with amigurumi construction methods rather than advanced stitch techniques.
Stitches and Construction Methods
The dolls are constructed using basic crochet stitches worked in the round. Individual pieces are crocheted separately and then assembled together to form the complete toys. This modular approach allows crafters to work on distinct components (such as body parts, head, and limbs) before joining them into the finished dolls.
Materials
- Yarn Weight: Worsted weight yarn
