Product Description
This design was inspired by a fluffy yarn whose texture reminded me of dandelion fluff, which led to the name. Like the dandelion flower’s transformation, this pattern invites you to enjoy a variety of changes by experimenting with different yarns, colors, and stitch patterns.
Recommended yarns include lace to light fingering weight yarns with silk mohair, alpaca or yak. Finer yarns make it easier to work the gathered stitches featured in the pattern, and result in a soft and airy finish.
Of course, you can enjoy this shawl with any yarn you like — please feel free to choose the yarn that brings you joy.
The pattern is fully written, but charts ― shawl charts and pattern stitch charts ― are included as a reference to help you visually check the patterns and work the gauge swatches, along with links to videos demonstrating special techniques.
